I made a claim after a flight was cancelled which cost me £500. They refused to cover it on some random technicality. You might as well not have insurance than rely on this terrible policy.

We have used this insurer for annual travel insurance (worldwide including Europe) for the last 5 years, paid the premiums believing to be fully insured. This year we encountered some issues during a trip, we had transport cancelled on us, needed emergency accommodation and onward additional travel all at additional personal cost. This company have refused to support our claim because they say that the trip didn't start in our country of residence.The trip did start in the UK but because we had, had an overnight stop in Paris before onward travel this apparently did not count. Be very aware this is an insurer that will take your money but refuse your legitimate claim. Be very cautious if you are considering using and check the very, very small print. Advice pay a few pounds more and pick another provider.

Told money would be in the bank within 10 days. Took 16! Lots of phone calls inbetween. Bank transfers do not take all this time. Obviously the refund wasn't processed in sending the finalised e-mail.

Six weeks after the claim was submitted we received an email saying payment would be within 10 working days. When it wasn't I phoned and was told someone from accounts would contact me. They didn't so I phoned again and was told it could take a day or two for them to contact me. I called again after another couple of days to find that accounts had put a note on the system to say they had made an error in the initial payment attempt but this was now fixed and payment would be in the next 48 hours. No-one had contacted me to explain or apologise. I complained at the time delay and poor communication practice and it was agreed they would pay out that day. Still not had an apology for delay, error or lack of communicating with me unless I instigated it.
So long winded. So many petty requests for extra information, information that was already there or so obvious only a fool would need to ask

I had to cancel a cruise due to health problems occurring. I rang and submitted the claim with ease and sent documentation requested and got email updates and the refund was paid straight into my account
Straight forward paperwork claim agreed within 3 weeks and money paid straight into my account. Excellent experience

hard work to prove when you are ill & when you want a doctor to fill in a form you should pay if claim is successful
