Would recommend insuring with this company.

No problems with my claim, had to cancel my holiday due to my mum having a stroke. Was easy to understand the forms and claim my money back

What a struggle!

Simple claim. Loss of port due to cabin confinement with Norovirus. "Reactive Claims" (someone with a real sense of humour named this company!) appointed by the insurer as claims handlers seemed to willfully misunderstand this simple claim. Took 2 months before they finally paid out. As it was only £100 many people would have given up, but I would not on principle. As the holiday was ruined it was small compensation, but better than nothing. In future I will try to check who handles claims for an insurer before taking out a policy.

Fragmented, disjointed & with poor communication

Hi, I took out a comprehensive annual travel insurance policy for my family, as i do every year. Insurefor was the worst one imaginable. When informing Global Response team that i had an accident in France requiring urgent medical treatment they took nearly 2 days to respond & authorise treatment- that was completely unacceptable. Despite eventually authorising everything, Now 2 months afterwards there are still an unpaid portion of the French hospital bill. This results in the French hospital chasing me personally. Not acceptable. The Global Response team agreed to pay it on the phone multiple times, yet the bill remains outstanding. Not acceptable.

Rubbish

A family of 5 were held up on a motorway for 3 hours due to a police incident which closed both sides of the motorway but because it wasn't an accident or breakdown the travel company refused to pay out for the replacement flight the following day.

Holiday accident review

Initially good response when accident happened, however not happy with treatment once discharged from hospital. After waiting for over 3 hours for them to get back to me regarding accommodation / flight home I had to take matters into my own hands and arrange flight home myself. Once home the matter was dealt with efficiently and with little hassle, all expenses incurred were settled in full. Would have rated higher if it had not been for the dismal experience I received on the day I was discharged!!!
