Lengthy but successful

An understandably lengthy process which fortunately ended in a successful claim. Having never had to make any previous claims for anything, the process did seem incredibly long but now understand everything has to be confirmed before refunds are made. Will certainly know to keep any and all receipts etc. should the need arise in the future.

Professionally dealt with and kept up to date at each stage.

phoned for a claim form on 2/9/19,it arrived on 7/9/19.It took me a week to gather all the relavent information together and posted off on16/9/19,I received an E-mail to say that the claim form was being processed on 17/9/19.I phoned 2 weeks later to check the progress of the claim and spoke to Katie who advised me that I would be contacted later that week or early the following week starting 9/10/19.I received an E-mail 11/10/19 saying that my claim had been approved and that the money would be payed into my account within 7 days and it was.All in all from phoning for a claims form to being paid out took 6 weeks

Average but claim not yet complete

The claim was started and registered on the 27th September and i have heard nothing since this time. I received an automated email indicating they had received and were processing the claim. I will call the claims department next week for an update. It would have been nice to have frequent updates so i know where the claim is at.

Better cover next time

Our claim was duly paid, but we had rather a large excess. We didn’t realise it was per person. Our fault not yours. We will opt for better cover in future.

Not very speedy

Took a while and a prompt to get a response on my claim for lost glasses (not a lot to investigate and backed up with missing property report from both airports). Bit disappointed to have 40% deducted for ‘wear and tear’, guess I will scrutinise my policy before taking out next time round, but funnily enough it never seems to highlight things like this!!

Refused to pay until I told them it was covered

We had a travel policy with missed port cover. We missed a port and the itinerary was changed (that was the cover). They told me claim was not covered as it was a technical problem. Wrote back, told them no exclusion and no applicable definition so cover applied. They then paid but no apology. These people need watching carefully, they don’t even know what cover their own policies provide!
